... to the Apache Junction High School (AJHS) Class of 1992 Alumni website. Our 10 year reunion has come and gone. During the weekend of October 18-20 of 2002 we sponsored several events that allowed a great many of our Alumni to re-connect with each other. We had a blast! 85 new pictures from the Reunion Dinner are up! Comments will be added to pictures as time permits. Pictures from the Tour will be added in the upcoming weeks.

87 pictures from the Reunion are up! Only 23 are commented as of now but we decided it was more important to get the pictures up than to comment them first. Comments will be added to pictures as the days go by. Pictures from the Dinner and Tour will also be added in the upcoming weeks.

Good news!

I finally got the park pics sized down and thumbnailed. I've also created webpages for each. As soon as Soren and I comment each picture (there are 87 of them) I'll activate the link to them on the Reunion Page. All the park pics total in at about 2.5 megabytes! It won't be long now!

Hello all, I know many of you have come to the website looking for those 300+ pictures I promised. Believe me when I say they will be going up soon. My grandmother died the morning of the 27^th so my mind hasn't quite been in the updating mood. This coming weekend is her funeral. I'm sorry for the delays. I'll have those pictures up soon.

10.22.02 -

Hello all, Jason Kerwin here. Just wanted to let everyone know I'll be putting online the 300+ pictures I took over the reunion weekend in addition to a large amount of pictures that Soren took with his own camera. If you took a cool picture and you'd like to send it to me to put on the website, please do. (please remember to send all pictures in jpg format) If you have a print you'd like scanned, talk with Soren or myself to see about sending it to us. We'll return every picture after we've scanned it. I'll add them to the list that should be up in the next week.

Also, I'll be numbering each individual picture so that if any of you would like a large high quality digital print of it for printing purposes or whatever, I can send them to you. More details will be on the reunion page.

Prospector Park Picnic Day!

Wow! What a day! Aside from the fact that workers were assembling a GIANT tent right next to our reserved Ramada at the Park, we had a GREAT time. Many people showed up with their spouse and children in tow. The following list is of classmates that attended:

Hmmm hope I'm not forgetting anybody...I probably am...
It was a GREAT day... very tiring for me personally. I found myself running around snapping pictures, cooking food, and greeting people. I wish I would have spent MORE time actually TALKING to everyone. I did get to show off my daughter, which was fun! To be quite honest, when I thought of how the "park day" was going to run, I pictured volleyball tournaments, family activities, and a huge BBQ. What actually happened was slightly different. 90% of those attending picked up food from Sonic, Subway, or KFC, or choose not to eat at all. It was a gorgeous day, not too hot, not cold, a nice breeze. Most people grouped up and had discusssions of high school memories, teachers, and what they have been doing the last 10 years. The day was a great success and my only regrets are that a) I bought SOOOOOO many condiments that didn't get used (ohhh well I'll use them eventually!) and b) that I didn't spend enough time mingling with everyone and lastly c) I didn't get another group picture (even though I got LOTS of individual pics). People were coming and going thoughout the day and gathering everyone at the SAME time would have been challenging...

Dinner is YET to come tonight. It's 4:11pm as I write this and I have to get to the resort by 6pm to start SETUP with the other Commitee members. Ohhh the fun.... ARRGGGG.. heheh!

The Night Club

Well the FIRST event of the Class of 1992's 10 year reunion kicked off with a GREAT turn out. Tonight we converged upon Graham Central Station. I arrived at 7:10 PMish with my wife. We quickly met up with Sara (White) and within 15 minutes Dwayne Motter, Dwayne Ownes, and Sonja Williams showed up. At this point I was a little concerned. It was 7:30pm and only 5 of us where there. Very soon though groups of familiar faces began pouring though the doors. The following is a LIST of those Alumni that I saw before I had to leave at 9:30pm (remember, I have a 2 1/2 month old little girl, tomarrow night I will be out ALL night, I couldn't afford to do it 2 nights in a row unfortunately):

Today was another busy day for me... running last minute errands. The last few days I have often found myself feeling anxious for this WHOLE reunion to be done and overwith, but today I began to get excited. Anticipation began to build as I knew that very soon I would see exactly if the last year of planning was worth all the trouble. Needless to say, I was very impressed by the turnout. I was especially excited to see those who showed up that I NEVER offically contacted; such as Lisa Folsum and William Whitlow. My two biggest regrets of the evening were: 1) not gathering everyone for a GROUP picture (this would have been difficult to do in that Night Club enviornment) and 2) my having to leave so early. It was extreamly noisey, but I was very very happy to see such a large crowd of faces that I haven't seen together in over 10 years. I WISH I could have stayed longer, but baby comes first now.

Tomorrow (Sat Oct 19th) is the BIG Prospector Park Picnic, I am anticipating a GOOD sized crowd for that one. We are scheduled from 10am - 4pm (but are completely OPEN as to people coming and going as they please). I'm STILL encouraging everyone to come to this one!!!! And of course, we have the BIG dinner at the AZ Golf Resort in the evening.
