ACK!
Homecoming Game - October 11th - 7PMish at the old high school
Next Reunion Committee Meeting date
Date: Saturday October 11th
Time: 6PM
Location: Soren's House
Who's Invited: Anyone!
Notes: Email or Call me for directions
Info for all
AZ Golf Resort wants a "head count" and monies paid on Oct 16th. They will prepare SOME
extra food, so if you are still in LIMBO about whether or not you will be able to partake
in the dinner, you can STILL show up THAT night and pay. Keep in mind that if EVERYBODY does this,
we will most certainly run out of food! I'm not anticipating many people doing that, but there are a
few that might take advantage of it.
As it stands right now, we DO have an alcohol permit and a ramada reserved at Prospector Park. Please
remember though, NO GLASS bottles or HARD LIQUOR!
We WILL be ordering a KEG of beer for the DINNER on the 19th. That KEG will be FREE for anyone whom is over
the age of 21 and wishes to partake of it that is at the dinner. We are still offering a NON-dinner option
for anyone interested. The price for that option is $35 and it entails going to the dinner (but NOT eating).
You can partake in the free beer, dancing, and company of your fellow classmates. The $35 charge is to offset
the costs of the Keg, decorations, the DJ fees (and believe me, DJs are NOT cheap!), and many other
miscellaneous bills we have incurred in the last year. We also intend on having a BAR available to those at the
dinner, you will however have to BUY your own drinks. We prefer you NOT bring your children to the dinner, but we
also understand that many of you have come from great distances to attend. Children 3 and under are FREE, ages 4-11
are $20 each, and ages 12 and up are considered ADULT by the resort. If there are any concerns, contact me ASAP.
We are anticipating a very GOOD turn out on both Friday Night (at Graham Central Station) and on Saturday Morning (at
Prospector Park). Please feel free to come by these events unannounced. There is no charge (by the Reunion Committee)
for either of them, you are responsible for yourself at these 2 events. The reunion committee
will provide mustard, ketchup, paper plates, a cooler full of koolaid or lemonaid, and we hope to provide
charcoal as well. Please bring your OWN food to cook as well as something to drink (if you don't like koolaid/lemonaide).
Bring CAMERAS and any sporting equipment you want to as well.
Sunday's events should be more or less a stroll around the old high school. It is astounding how much it has changed since
the last time WE walked the corridors of Junior and Senior Halls!
Lastly, I will be sending out my LAST batch of emails begging and pleading for people to attend the reunion. I know that
many people must think I'm a complete pest. Let me inform you, I despise having to send these out almost as much as you hate
reading through them, but I force myself to do it in the one-in-a-million chance that someone will actually READ the email and
respond to it.

Notes of Interest
We have given the AZ Golf Resort an $800 deposit for our dinner on October 19th.
We have purchased the felt for the reunion banner we are making.
More confirmations are coming in, the Confirmation page has been updated.
I have updated the "Reunion Info" page to reflect some current info
We have started calling and/or emailing people AGAIN to remind them that the reunion is just
about a month away and we REALLY want them to attend.
I finally (after a YEAR of seaching) contacted Greg Groneberg and Cathy L'odense! Yay!
- Soren
|
09.04.02 -
Many people have now given me verbal commitments to attend the reunion. Some of those names are Adam Harwell, Gene
Spaulding, Jeff Wheeler, Dever Doucet, Jason Kerwin, Shannon Johnson, Amber Sammons, Sally Tollett, Traci Mays,
Dustin Becker, Sara White, LaDonna Broadwell and a few others who's names escape me at this moment.
Money is beginning to stream in too... Kirsten Steelsmith, Nicole Rhoten, Nicole LaRusso, and others have
financially commited to the reunion.
Don't think that this reunion isn't going to happen! Many people are already slated to attend and we are expecting
more to be added to the list in the next few weeks. Get that money in, and don't miss out on what should be a
fantastic night!

Just updated a bunch of email addresses that kept bouncing back to us. I put a slash through the addresses to mark them.
If you've got a working email address for someone with a slash through it or you've changed your email address recently, please
let us know so we can keep the website up to date. Thanks.

Updated : Lisa Hudson's email and several bad email addresses.

Let the phone calls begin! Tonight I spoke with Adam Harwell, LaDonna Broadwell,
Cass Tomazin, and Shanon Johnson. Well, Cass and Shannon are both on the reunion committe... but I still
called them! Adam and LaDonna are both planning on attending the reuion. In the next few nights I intend
on calling and/or emailing virtually everyone again to remind them to get their money in.
There was some concern that if an alumni pays their fees and then cannot attend, will they get their money back?? After
consulting the reunion committee, we have come up with an answer. IF we are notified at least ONE week prior to
the dinner, we believe we CAN issue a FULL refund. If we are notified between 4-6 days prior to the event, we
can issue 1/2 a refund. If we are notified 3 days or less before the event, we CANNOT issue a refund at all.
Teacher Invitations. If all goes well, Nicole LoRusso and Jake Heermans will begin handing out
invitaions to some of the more "colorful" teachers of yesteryear. We (the reunion commitee) felt that we could
not truly have a reunion without inviting those that made it all happen so many years ago. Hopefully some of them
will attend a few of the events.
Another Reunion Committee Meeting is scheduled for Saturday Aug 31st, email me for details if you would like to attend.
Lastly, Happy Birthday Dustin Becker...

DeVere Doucet called me last night and said he was planning
on attending the reunion. I then did my great impression of Rod Tidwell (aka Cuba Gooding Jr.
in the movie "Jerry McGuire") as I shouted.... "SHOW ME THE MONEY!" Well, I didn't actually
do that, but I should have! At any rate, DeVere and I had a nice conversation and I'm looking
forward to seeing him in October.
If you have ANY concerns about money, what to wear, where the events are being held, or anything
else, PLEASE contact me ASAP! Email me at soren@dudeiknow.com or call me at home at 480-354-6092
I will return your call as soon as possible (assuming that you left both your NAME and your NUMBER,
and if you happen get my wife on the phone... your best bet is calling back in the evening! With
a 4 week old, she doesn't tend to write messages down very well...)

08.15.02 -
Sorry, I have been slacking... but with good reason!
My wife and I had our baby on 7.24.02 so I have been extra busy lately. And to complicate things
further....I also just started back to school again on 8.14.02.
We have been receiving some responses from the 2 mailings we have sent out to alumni!
I have added Melissa Brown-Blisset and Dan Brown (no relation!) both to the confirmed list.
I know MANY of you are planning on attending the reunion (or at least SOME part
of it), get those "dues" sent in so we can pay for the hall, the dinner, the DJ, and
all the other "cool" stuff we are planning!! Remember, you pay by September 1st
and the cost is $55.00 per adult for the dinner. This really is a GREAT value and we have
working incredibly hard to keep this cost down. We have had some complaints that $55 is
too much... well looking at "other" AJHS reunions, we usually see 2 types. Type "A" reunions
have a price tag of $100+ per person and usually serve you cheese, crackers, and finger food, and
usually have SOME activity that MOST of the class doesn't want to participate in. Type "B"
reunions are incredibly cheap and not well organized and have little to NO turn out. We are
doing our BEST to make this reunion something that EVERYONE will enjoy.
If you can ONLY get ONE day off work to goto the reunion, I would HIGHLY reccommend making that
Saturday October 19th. That is Prospector Park "Family Day" and in the evening the "Alumni Dinner".
These 2 events will be the "meat and potatoes" (so to speak) of the entire reunion. This is the
day to socialize and have fun. To show of your cute kids and brag about your accomplishments (or in my case.. lack there of..).
To sit back and remember all the good times back in high school.
Remember, a 10 year reunion only happens once! Who knows what the future holds, at our next reunion
we may have "lost" many classmembers. Don't miss this opportunity and be sorry for it at out next reuion.
$55 is a small investment for the great food, good times, and
pure joy that we hope this weekend will envoke in us all.
As always, if you have ANY questions (and I do mean ANY questions!) about the reuion, please contact me
via email or phone.

Worked really hard on a NEW and improved "Contacted/Confirmed"
list of everyone who has been sent an "Offical Reunion Invitation" and who has responded. This
list should give EVERYONE an idea of exactly who has been contacted and who we are are still franticly
looking for. With Jason's help, I hope to have it completely up and accessable in the next few days.
- Soren
|
07.14.02 -
Well since "the mailing" I have received contact
information for 4 more classmates. Today I made MORE copies of the "Offical Invitation"
and I plan to mail invitations out to those individuals this week. Included in this batch
will be Melissa Neves, Amber Salmons, Laura Carrillo, and Brandy Hill. I HOPE to get a list
up of everybody that has been sent an invitation soon.
- Soren
|
07.9.02 -
This morning I woke up and started putting stamps on the piles,
and I DO mean PILES of Invitations. I sat down with my homemade Egg McMuffin and had a grand time.
(Thus if you find some cheese or egg on your invitation envelope, that would be me eating quickly as I threw
stamps on your invitation!) In total, I stamped 83 invitations this morning. That is NOT including invitations
for the "Reunion Committee Members" - I figured I could hand deliver those. Thus we have approximately 90
invitations going out. We are still short about 100 people from our class! Looking at the "countdown" to the reunion,
we ONLY have 100 days left. Time is short, we need to find our lost classmates.
- Soren
|
07.7.02 -
Official Reunion Invitations should hit the postoffice
Monday or Tuesday. They would have gone out late last week, but thanx to the inefficiency
of the US Post Office, I could not get the new 37 cent stamps. Then of course there was that
little holiday which slowed down the mailing process further. Enough about me, expect those
hot little invitations to arrive within a week (assuming that the Post Office can afford gas!).
- Soren
|
07.02.02 -
We finalized Official Invitations at our last meeting, the plan is
to fold and stuff today and tomarrow and mail out on Wednesday evening. So if you don't receive an invitation
in the mail by July 12th, contact us ASAP!

Invitations almost done! We have been slow on getting
the "Offical Reunion Invitations" done, but we are close now. The plan is to complete
them this week before postage rates go up. Currently our contact list is about 75 people.
That's not bad, but that STILL isn't 50% of the class! Any and All help in finding classmates
is appreciated.

Jason added the "Reunion Countdown Clock" to the site.
Just a friendly reminder, we do have limited time before the reunion.

Prospector Park - for anybody
interesed, I will be at Prospector Park (in the heart of AJ) on
Saturday June 22nd. This WAS the original date for our reunion
before the BIG switch. If anybody is available, I will be at
the park probably from 9am-Noon'ish having myself a little barbeque,
and shooting some hoops. See the
Forum
for more details, or to voice your opinion. I believe Jason Kerwin,
Shannon Johnson, Cass Tomazin, as well as myself and a few others may be present.
HOPE to see you there!

Anybody else realize what today is?
Today marks the day when we graduated 10 years ago! It is so hard to imagine,
we are now OFFICALLY out of high school for 10 years. How many of us are where
we pictured we would be? I sit somewhat dazed as I think back.... Has it really
been that long?!?!
Head over to the
Forum
and post what you've been up to, what's on your mind, are you excited about the upcoming reunion??

As Jason's computer has been down, I have attempted to
update the website on my own. I HOPE it maintains the high quality that Jason puts out!
The Reunion Info page has been updated
with cost per person, cost breakdown, and updated menu for the buffet dinner.
We have put a deposit down on the DJ for the dinner, and we have now signed
a contract with the Arizona Golf Resort for the night of October 19th. There is NO turning back now!
We have received money from a few people, and we are currently working on an
"Offical Invitation" which will be mailed in the upcoming weeks.
We are looking for old high school photos of yourself and friends,
vintage high school video tapes, or anything else that brings back the nostalgia of the Class of
1992. We are working on a presentation and would LOVE to get our hands on any items you might
have. We need these items well in advance of the reunion to prepare. If you have anything you
would like to contribute, please send it to:
Soren Saggio
10650 East Olla Ave.
Mesa, AZ 85212
Please clearly mark each and every item you contribute with your name
(first and last) and they will be returned to you at the reunion. If you have any questions, concerns,
please email/phone/write to ANY Reunion Committee Memebers.

I just received a few dozen yearbook pics scanned by someone
(can't remember the name, sorry). At the moment, they
only go up to "P" so I can't include them on all bios, but I'm including them wherever possible. If you didn't
graduate from AJHS but you consider yourself one of our alumni, please send me your graduation pic so I can
include it in your bio. It's kinda nifty to be able to see how people have changed over 10 years.
Also, if you haven't sent in a bio yet, please consider it. Even a few lines
to tell everyone what you've been doing the last 10 years. Thanks!

- IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE REUNION -
Last night Soren sent out a very important message concerning a
change in the reunion.
Hello everyone,
This mass email is to inform everybody that some important changes
have made in regards to the 10 year high school reunion. We wanted to tell you
as soon as we could so that you could put any plans you may have had on hold
such as buying plane tickets or asking for vacation time, etc. These changes
have been made in an effort to make this reunion more appealing to the
masses. Our new selections provide a classier and more exciting atmosphere.
Besides the fact that our original mass email generated little to no
response from all of you. The reunion dates have been moved to October 18th,
19th, and 20th. This new date gives us all more time to plan and prepare
for the reunion. We just need to wrap up the final details of the planning
process and you all can anticipate a formal invitations sent out with in the
next couple weeks (or as soon as we receive everyone's addresses, so please
respond promptly). If you all would be so kind to email us your home
addresses and phone numbers so that we have a way of getting this important
information to all of you. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call:

email: soren@dudeiknow.com
Cass (Tomazin) Davids

Tonight Soren sent out an email confirming details on the reunion to all the listed Alumni on the website.
Below is a copy of that email.
- AJHS class of 1992 10-yr. reunion schedule - 04-04-02
Hello everyone! Well at LONG last here is the information
I have promised to provide you with pertaining to our reunion.
We are still FEVERISHLY looking for and attempting to track down many of our missing
Alumni. If you have ANY information... phone number, email address, physical address
please pass it on to us... or have them contact me. I know that some of you will
find the dates below as not convienent, I apologize for that. The reunion committee
spent many hours debating where and when to have this reunion. To get everything
we wanted, it HAD to be in JUNE. We are HOPEFUL that many of you can make it.
Please respond as soon as possible if you are planning to come and then proceed
to send in the necessary dues. We need to put a deposit down in MID-May so we
need some fees right away!
The website WILL be updated OFTEN in the next month to reflect any and all changes and
to post exactly what the response to this email is. The website currently contains a list
of our graduating class, facts about 1992, a faculty list, some alumi bios and pics,
CURRENT High School pictures and more! Stop by and take a look!
Drop by the Message Board
and post a friendly hello to everyone!
If you have ANY questions, thoughts, concerns, please feel free to email me at

or call my HOME phone number at (480)354-6092. I will return your call as soon as possible if I'm not home.
Without further ado, here is the Reunion Info/Itinerary.
And as a final note, I hope all of you have kept us aprised of your current email addres.
I am having visions of hundreds of "email bounce back" notifications in my mailbox in the morning -
not a cheerful thought! I hope to hear from many of you in the next few days.

We are looking at a June date right now. July seems to be VERY bad for many people.
Jake is getting hotel prices and Sandra is checking on country clubs, eating establishments, ect...
Look for a BIG email to be sent soon.
We're up to 65 Alumni on our list - We still have about 100+ to go!

Hello all, I apologize for the long delay in updates to the site, but I've gone through some
hardships the last couple months so I've been forced to focus on other things. Hopefully once we
move to our new apartment and with the new anti-theft devices I've installed in my truck (not to
mention the new parts I had to buy to fix the damn thing) things will be rolling again.
By the way, if you've sent me any pictures lately, I didn't get them. Sometimes Yahoo screws up.
Also if there's some info that should be listed on the site but isn't for some reason (email change,
bio, contact, etc...) please re-send it to me. Thanks.

10.13.01 -
It's been a while since we've had a site update. The lack of new contacts and info has had me somewhat disheartened
so this update took longer than those before it. We really don't have that much more time to get ahold of our
alumni before our 10 year reunion. Get the word out! Contact the familes of your old friends if you have to.
Please help us get ahold of as many alumni as we possibly can.
Until further notice, the AJHS message board is down. Once I find a fast and reliable alternative,
I'll let you all know. I'm also too lazy to remove the link from every page on the site so just be aware that
for the time being, the AJHS Forum is a dead link. (i.e.: doesn't go anywhere)
As many of you have already heard, there is some sort of new reality show that's being hosted by Warner Brothers
about a 1992 alumni class. Click here to read a copy of the email that was sent out.
I'm sure there is some sort of deadline on getting involved in this so please direct all inquiries to
Soren ASAP if you're interested in more info.
- A Note from Soren - 10-12-2001
Homecoming for AJ verses Arcadia
Tonight I ventured back to the old football field at the high school.
This marked my first AJHS football game in approximately 8 years and
tonight was a blast. The football team has GREAT new uniforms, the band
has new uniforms, the field was PAINTED in the endzones (black and gold
of course) and in the very center of the field was a giant golden
circle with a black "AJ" in it. It looked GREAT!! On the south side of the
field, a "platform-lift" was raised as a small local camera crew was
broadcasting the game "live" to the local cable company. The sound
system was very clear as the OLD speakers of our era had been replaced with
a multitude of new and better quality speakers.
I sat in the stand behind the band, old habits die hard and I felt
this was an appropriate place for me to be tonight. My wife and a few
other friends of mine watched the game in sheer bliss. It was GREAT
being back. Everything was SO different, yet so the same. Aside from the
unyielding chilly wind that blew from then North to the South, the game
was perfect. AJ actually has a VERY good football team (at least from
what I could tell from watching this game). Final score at the end of
the Evening was AJ 41, Arcadia 33. That's right, AJ won homecoming!!
This was the HIGHEST score I personally had ever seen a varsity AJ
football team score. The quarterback even broke the school record in
passing yards this game. I believe he passed for over 325 yards!
Here's a little triva for all of you... do you know the LAST, time
before tonight, that AJ won their homecoming football game?? I'm not
100% sure of this, but I was told that it was 13 years ago... when WE were
sophomores. And do you remember who we played?? It was the Arcadia
Titans back then too!!
Aside from the game itself, I also managed to see and talk to Jake
(Heermans), Cass (Tomazin), Sandra (Romero), and Mr. Olmstead!! Mr
Olmstead would love to attend our reunion (when we determine the place,
time, and all that other good stuff..). The rest of us chatted briefly
about getting together in the very near future to start actually doing some
planning as to the EVENTS of our reunion.

We surpassed 50 Alumni email addresses today! In just under 2 months we've managed to
contact ¼ of our graduating class. I think that's a major landmark and something to be quite proud of.
As word-of-mouth continues to help spread awareness of our site, I'd like to encourage all Alumni to check their phonebooks
and addressbooks for ANY contact info for any Alumni that are not on our list yet. Phone numbers, postal
addresses, parent's phone numbers, phone numbers they had in high school, etc. We'll take any kind of lead we can get.
Please help us contact every member of our graduating class!
Possible Virus Warning - I was notified by Bill

Since Jake Heermans put the word out on
HighSchoolAlumni.com, I have received a few emails
out of the blue, they were very unexpected and very welcomed. Things are going GREAT! The word is out and our
list is growing. We still have a few hundred names to add yet, so keep up the good work and email with ANY
leads you get at all! Even if we ALL can't be at the reunion, I want EVERYBODY to know about it!
